Our main goal is to make EMIMUN a truly international conference. That is why we offer participants a delegate package in order to ensure that students from all over the world can get to Dubai as easy as possible and gain as much valuable experience from EMIMUN as one can.
The delegate package includes assistance in obtaining a visa and booking a room in a hotel (please, note that we only provide visa assistance together with accommodation, since a hotel booking is a prerequisite for obtaining a UAE visa).
The following information explains what you should do to enjoy the benefits of the delegate package.
Should you choose to make all visa and hotel arrangements yourself, we will be happy to provide an invitation letter signed by EMIMUN Secretary-General.
Visa Support
To get visa assistance delegates should write an email mentioning in the body of the letter:
1) your full name (as stated in the passport);
2) date of birth;
3) passport details (date of issue and date of expiry);
4) date of your arrival in Dubai and your departure from Dubai;
5) the hotel you prefer (see the options below);
6) the type of accommodation you prefer (single/double/three bed room).
You should attach the following documents to the email:
1) scanned passport pages with your photo (in colour only, clearly recognizable and readable, in .jpg or .pdf format with maximum size of 40kb, that is the requirement of the Visa department of UAE Ministry of foreign affairs);
2) recent clear colour passport-sized photo of yourself (in .jpg format with maximum size of 40kb, this photo will appear on your visa, so, please, make sure the visa official at the airport will recognize you).
The subject of your email should follow the form: “VISA [YOUR_LAST_NAME] [COMMITTEE_NAME]“.
Send this e-mail to participants.emimun2012@gmail.com.
Important information: it is essential that information you send is accurate, correct and up-to-date. Re-submitting visa application will cost another $110 and take much more time.
Please, make sure to apply for the delegate package as soon as you are registered.

Taxi is the only real means of transportation available in Dubai, actually.
A taxi from airport to the Hotel will cost you approximately 60-70 AED ($16-19);
from the Hotel to great shopping at the Dubai Mall – 45 AED ($12);
from the Hotel to even greater shopping at the Emirates Mall (and Burj Halifa Tower) – 13-15 AED ($3-4);
and, finally, from the Hotel to the Jumeirah Beach Residence (the Beach) – 15 AED ($4).
