Honorable prospective delegates,
It became possible for us to extend the registration deadline for you up to January 18, 2012! Those of you who for certain reasons could not fill the simple registration form to join EMIMUN 2012 have another chance to do so. Do not miss it!
The rgistration for the HRC is almost close. A little more countries in ECOSOC, Legal and UNIDO. In case you have a good command of Arabic you still can join the Security Council, that will work in this language for the first time in MUN history!
Please, do not postpone applying to the very last moment because we will need time to make all the arrangements for your EMIMUN 2012 week to become not only possible but also very pleasant. All the information you might need to apply and to plan your trip can be easily found on our web-site. We are always in touch through our e-mails and social networks.

Play it in Arabic! The Security Council for the first time exclusively at EMIMUN 2012.
اعزائي المندوبين،
إن لي الشرف الكبير أن أرحب بكم في مدينة عظيمة، في جامعة عظيمة وخصوصا في نموذج الأمم المتحدة في دبي — EMIMUN 2012. هنا سيكون لديكم فرصة رائعة للمناقشة والتفاوض، وإيجاد أفضل الحلول للأوضاع الحرجة في العالم، وللمرة الأولى في EMIMUN، سيكون لدينا الفرصة للقيام بذلك في اللغة العربية.
ونظرا لأننا نعيش في عصر التغييرات المفاجئة إقتصاديا وسياسيا وطبيعيا ,فإن جدول أعمال لجنة مجلس الأمن سيكون “القضية الطارئة الأكثر الحاحا في ايام المؤتمر ، و التي ستعلن خلال المؤتمر” . كونوا على استعداد لإيجاد الحلول للمشاكل الأكثر أهمية في العالم ، واتخاذ الإجراءات لأنكم أعضاء مجلس الأمن.
لذلك إنني أتوقع في أوراق عملكم أن تكون حول”آثار الربيع العربي على العلاقات العربية مع الغرب و إحتمالات ظهور قيادات عربية جديدة في المنطقة”.

EMIMUN 2012 launches the registration process offering you a unique chance to spend a week discussing, discovering and dazzling everyone with your wit and style in fantastic Dubai. It will be the time to enjoy yourself and the world around you, to animate, to debate and to navigate in the sea of global challenges on the beautiful beach of the Gulf.
Check our Agenda, choose a committee to your linking and follow the simple directions. This year you have a rich assortment of five committees* and the usual care for your visa&accommodation. If any questions still remain, contact us!

Distinguished delegates,
On behalf of the EMIMUN 2012 Secretariat team it is my pleasure to welcome you at the third edition of Emirates International Model UN.
Being held in one of the most spectacular and progressive cities of the world, EMIMUN seeks to march in step with the advancement of Dubai. Therefore, in 2012 EMIMUN comes back to you not just to replay the best of the previous years’ practices but also to offer you something new.
EMIMUN became known for its heated debates, warm atmosphere and cool sightseeing and socials. This year we commit ourselves to making these key components of a good Model UN even better. Experienced Chairpersons from different countries of the world will make sure that you have your say during the sessions of your committee, the host university is eager to throw open the door to even more participants than the previous years while the Secretariat will search for the most exciting views of magnificent Dubai for your sightseeing and secure the informal ambience at the parties. Hence, EMIMUN 2012 will be a perfect place to enrich your MUN experience as well as to start your Model UN adventure.
We have five committees with varied items on the agenda so that each of you could find a committee to your liking. If besides English you also speak well Arabic, you can apply for our Security Council that this year will work in this language for the first time! All the relevant information is published in the according sections. Follow our up-dates by subscribing to our RSS feeds or via our pages in social networks.
